Pregnancy Week 35 and 36

Your changing body

Since your expanded Uterus is just being underneath your rib cage, you may be feeling short of breath at times. From now on, as your body descends deeper into your pelvic cavity which is called lightening or dropping, the upward pressure of the Uterus on the diaphragm may be relieved. As a result you may not feel so short of breath and eating a full meal becomes more comfortable for you. However you may have increased frequency of urination or leaking of little urine every time you sneeze or laugh, as lightening can increase the pressure on your Bladder. Around week 35, you may have gained anywhere from 11.5 to 13.5 kg.
